Today’s #SmallActsofKindness2020 was a viewer from Pennsylvania. She told us about the efforts that a small group of people make to keep their neighborhood clean and free from trash and litter. She told us how the neighborhood sits off of a very busy main road. That main road has been a victim of people constantly littering and throwing their trash out for years. Recently though, the trash and litter have become even worse, and some of it finding its way into the neighborhood. Because of this, every other weekend, different people that live in the neighborhood get together and pick up the trash that has found its way into the neighborhood and also picking up litter off of the main road. They usually spend at least 4 hours doing this on the days they get together, but sometimes spend 6-8 hours or even longer on occasion. This is a great act of kindness that not only brings people together but also keeps their community beautiful and clean.
